Safety Management System
Our operations are conducted in accordance with Air Operators Certificate N541038-12 issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority. Our pilots all hold at least a Commercial Balloon Pilot’s Licence and undertake regular flight review check flights. Our Chief pilot holds a Commercial Balloon Pilot’s Licence. Our operations are subject regular government safety audits.
We have an unblemished safety record and have provided more than 25,000 passengers with a safe and enjoyable ballooning experience. Our impeccable safety record is backed up by our commitment to have Australia’s best maintained fleet of balloons.
All of these factors combine to give our clients the assurance that their ballooning experience will be conducted to the highest standards by a pilot who is well qualified in a well maintained aircraft!
In conjunction with a Safety Management System, Fly Me To The Moon incorporates further official documentation as part of our Air Operators Certificate requirements. These include, but are not limited to;
- Aircraft Flight Manual
- Flight Check System
- Ground Handling Manual
- Maintenance Control Manual
- Maintenance Schedule Management.
